Supporting Progression

Progression can be measured in a variety of ways, including the achievement of simple, everyday tasks through to working towards a more independent life style. The section describing the activities undertaken by our service users illustrates how they are encouraged and supported, on a daily basis, to participate in a variety of activities, in line with each individual’s capabilities.

Where appropriate, individuals are supported to utilise our range of accommodation as a stepping stone towards living independently. We are currently in the process of applying to the Care Quality Commission for appropriate registration to enable us to provide a caring service for individuals in their own homes.  Once this registration has been finalised, it will be possible for individuals to move on from their current, residential style of living to a more independent one, whilst remaining under the care of Homes Caring for Autism.
